Wind Power Plant Serra do Açor

 Since 1996  in Portugal are constantly created  new wind power plants. The Serra do Açor was also discovered as a perfect site for this ecologically friendly energy production and in October 2004  the first windmills were put into operation.
With this new income the region will be able to support more cultural projects and the preservation of the traditional mountain villages of the area.
